Plans change.
Your email can too.
A flight is delayed. Checkout goes down. Give people an update in the email they already have.
Add a Critical Message to your template before sending. Keep it hidden until you need an alert, then turn it on in NiftyImages.
Updates appear when the email loads a fresh image. Email apps may cache an earlier version.
Give customers
the update they need.
When a service is unavailable, explain what has changed and what customers can do next. Use the same approach for a shipping delay, an event cancellation or a correction to an offer.
If phone support is down, point customers to email. If a store closes, let people know before they make the trip. Select a banner to inspect the original at full size.
Prepare now.
Respond when it matters.
Add a Critical Message to booking confirmations or promotional templates before they go out. Choose where an alert should appear if a delay or outage affects that campaign.
While switched off, it displays as a transparent 1 × 1 pixel. Only opens while the message is on count toward usage.
Add it to your template
Create the message, then add its image tag in your email builder. Send a test to check how the hidden and active versions display.
Turn on the alert
Write the update and switch the message on. Emails containing that image can display the banner when they request it again.
Keep the message useful
Edit the update as the situation changes. When it is no longer needed, switch it off so new image requests return the hidden pixel.
Make the notice
part of your brand.
Choose the colors, fonts, background and banner size before you need them. When plans change, edit the headline, body and call-to-action text to explain the next step.
Keep the message short enough to read on a phone. A clear update helps customers decide whether to wait, use another service or check back later.
